Christ, our Family Treasure, Mary Lee

My name is Mary Lee. I grew up in a Christian family as a fourth generation Christian. My family's Christian lineage can be traced back to both my father's and my mother's maternal grandfathers.

The local church has been a major part of my life, and I am full of joy and heavenly satisfaction. Even though I am not a Bible teacher or an evangelist, I have always enjoyed sharing Christ as the gospel with my friends and classmates. Christ Jesus is my best treasure. As my life, He is so real to me, and I want my friends and their families to know and enjoy this treasure also (2 Corinthians 4:27).

As I prepared for my marriage in February of 1997, my mother felt sorrowful that she could not offer more financial help because my parents did not have much material wealth. She was not able to give me any “family jewelry” as my wedding gift. However, I felt the Lord speaking from within, and I told my mother that they had given me the best treasure, which is the Lord Jesus. He is God, the great I AM (Exodus 3:14). They had given me the real “Jewel”.

I am glad that my parents came to know Christ as their treasure and gave Him to me, that He could be the meaning of my life, the guiding light in my living, so that I wouldn't be lost in a world of vanity under Satan's usurpation.
